Pokémon Go Landorus counters, weaknesses and moveset explained

Meet the Abundance Pokémon in Pokémon Go!

Landorus, the final member of the legendary Forces of Nature trio from Gen 5, can now be found in Pokémon Go.

Like Thundurus and Tornadus before it, Landorus has two formes - Incarnate Forme and Therian Forme. This page focuses on how to capture the Incarnate Forme of Landorus in Pokémon Go.

Like other legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Go, Landorus will be in five-star raids. There's also a chance that you'll encounter Landorus as a reward for battling in the Go Battle League.

On this page:

Here are the counters and weaknesses for Landorus, which will help you add it to your Pokédex in Pokémon Go:

  • Landorus type: Flying and ground-type
  • Landorus is weak against: Ice and water-type
  • Landorus counters: Gyarados, Lapras, Swampert, Kyogre, Mamoswine, Weavile and Glaceon
  • Other Landorus notes: It's best to begin the battle with a strong ice-type Pokémon as they will cause more damage and use strong water-type Pokémon as backups.
  • Pokemon_Go_Landorus_Big

When battling, and attempting to catch, Landorus in raids, you can expect the following CP levels:

  • Raid Boss CP - 46,044
  • Normal CP for catching Landorus - 1911
  • Weather Boost CP (Clear) for catching Landorus - 2389
  • Pokemon_Landours_Therian_FormeTherian Forme Landorus

Landorus can use a variety of charged and fast moves in Pokémon Go, including:

    Possible Fast Moves:

  • Mud Shot (Ground)
  • Rock Throw (Rock)
  • Possible Charged Moves:

  • Earth Power (Ground)
  • Focus Blast (Fighting)
  • Outrage (Dragon)
  • Rock Slide (Rock)
  • Pokémon Go in 2020 continues to add new features, such the arrival of the Go Battle League - which is currently highlighting the Ultra League - and soon, Clone Pokémon. We've also recently had the Buddy Adventure feature, which introduces a variety of perks - including finding Souvenirs - as well as a new trade evolution feature. 2019 saw the release of the first Gen 5 Pokémon, along with new regional exclusive Pokémon, Egg charts, and the introduction of the Unova Stone. Pokemon Go also sees regular events - including weekly Spotlight Hour evenings, monthly Field Research rewards and Pokémon Go Community Day, plus a new Giovanni counters quest - the latest being The Shadowy Threat Grows. There is also the gradual arrival of new Promo Codes to redeem, too.

Landorus acts as the trio master for the Forces of Nature, which also includes Tornadus and Thundurus.

Tornadus and Thundurus are the other members of the Forces of Nature trio.

As the trio master, its Landorus' duty to ensure that Tornadus and Thundurus don't wreak havoc on the Unova region. This led the humans of this land to construct a shrine for Landorus in thanks for its protection.

Like Tornadus and Thundurus, Landorus represents a different physical domain of the world. Landorus, unsurprisingly, represents the land we walk upon, which is why it's the one who protects it from the other members of the trio.

Landorus also takes inspiration from the kami, a holy being from Shinto mythology, Inari ÅŒkami, who was the kami of foxes, agriculture, rice and fertility just to name a few.

The Therian Forme for Landorus was released alongside Pokémon Dream Radar, which was an app for the Nintendo 3DS.

Coming back to Pokémon Go in 2020: What's new, different, and improved

With many of us at home and looking for ways to pass the time, there's an understandable desire to return to the familiar. When it comes to Pokémon Go, the smash hit of the summer of 2016, a lot should feel familiar coming back to the game four years later. But a lot has changed, too: tons more Pokémon, a completely revamped gym system, and even plans for remote raids are in the works. Here's what returning Pokémon Go players can expect in 2020.

    Catching and evolving pokemon

Pokémon Go launched in 2016 with the original 151 mons, but not all of those were even available at first. Now, there are hundreds of Pokémon from the first five generations in the game, although the core games are now up to generation eight with Sword and Shield. Still, you can catch fan favorites like Chimchar, Lucario, and Snivy in Pokémon Go now. Even if all you want to do is catch 'em all, there's plenty more content to enjoy.

Some of the most sought after Pokémon will be tough to find in the game as it currently exists. Niantic added special evolution items several years ago, which you can get from Poké Stops and completing quests (more on that later). For some evolutions, you need to collect enough candy and an item like a sun stone or metal coat. You'll also come across more types of berries in your loot these days. A Golden Razz Berry, for example, will make it much easier to catch a Pokémon compared to regular Razz Berries. The Silver Pinap Berry makes Pokémon a bit easier to catch and boosts your candy reward for doing so.

You probably won't be able to catch everything on your own, but your friends can help fill out your Dex. Yes, you can have friends in the game, and your in-game friendship level will increase the more you interact. You can trade special gift boxes with friends (usually a few berries or Poké Balls), and if they're nearby, you can trade Pokémon. It costs stardust and candy to trade, but a high friendship level lowers that cost and improves the stats of the traded Pokémon.

There's also more emphasis on the stats of your Pokémon. You can have your Team leader evaluate each of your monsters, which tells you if they have the potential to be a champion (a Pokémon's IV). This feature used to give you vague verbal hints about the stats, but now you get a little three-bar meter that lays it all out.

    Battles and gyms

Gyms were available in Pokémon Go at launch, but the way you interact with them has changed a great deal. One of the things that made the game feel like a dead end in the early days was that heavy players would level up heir mons and stick them in gyms, leaving casual players with no hope of unseating them. Now, Pokémon in gyms slowly lose power over time, but you can boost them back up by feeding them berries. Regardless, it gives less experienced players a chance to take over gyms.

The first major addition to Pokémon Go after launch was the raid system. These special battles take place at gyms, giving you a chance to defeat and capture powerful Pokémon. Raids take place at various times throughout the day—the map shows an egg atop gyms with a countdown when raids are about to happen. When raids are active, the giant Pokémon will appear at the top of the gym, suspending all the regular gym battles. You can battle in raids alone or with other players in the same area. The battles are still very, very simple with only minor changes since launch. You tap and you swipe. That's it.

Battles with other players are slightly different than raids and gym battles. You can challenge your friends to battles, but there's also an online battle league now. In these battles, you get a team of three Pokémon and two single-use shields to block charged attacks. Attacking builds up your charge attack, but to use that attack, you need to swipe across a series of icons that fly around the screen. The more you hit, the stronger your attack will be. This adds just a hint of skill to the battles in Pokémon Go. Working your way up the battle league ranks is also a good way to unlock special Pokémon encounters and items.

    Community, exploration, and coronavirus changes

Niantic has added several big features over the years to make the game a bit more engaging. One of the earliest was quests. These usually consist of using a certain number of berries when capturing Pokémon or catching specific types of Pokémon. When you complete quests, you'll usually get rare items or Pokémon encounters. There are also field research tasks available from Poké Stops. These simpler to-dos can unlock a "breakthrough" after you've completed tasks on seven different days. Again, you get rare items and a cool Pokémon encounter. Some of those Poké Stops will also be under the control of Team Rocket, allowing you to battle them and capture their Pokémon.

Walking was a way to hatch eggs even in the early days of Pokémon Go, but now you can walk with a Pokémon buddy. Your buddy finds candy as you walk, and the game plugs into fitness tracking platforms like Google Fit to track steps even when the app isn't open. This is a great way to get candy to power-up rare Pokémon. You can even bond with your buddy to unlock special abilities like higher catch rates and a combat boost. You have to earn hearts by interacting with your buddy, so this is a take on the friendship system in the core games.

For the last several years, Niantic has also run a monthly "Community Day" event. During these limited-time events, a specific Pokémon appears more frequently. If you evolve the Pokémon to its final form during the event, you get a special move, too. Unfortunately, Niantic has suspended Community Day events for the duration of the quarantine. Likewise, similar special ticket events have been paused for the time being.

Pokémon Go has always been a social game that encourages you to get out of the house. Of course, that's not the best idea right now. So, Niantic has started making some changes that help you play the game even in quarantine. For one, you can spend a single Poké Coin to get bundles of Poké Balls and Great Balls. That should help you keep catching even without walking around to Poké Stops. You can also pay a single coin for 30 incenses, which will lure in pokemon for an hour instead of 30 minutes. Niantic says Pokémon spawns are higher in general now, which should help you hunt for mons from your couch. Raids are currently impossible to play from the safety of home, but Niantic says it's planning to roll out a way to play them remotely. Details on that should be available in the coming weeks.

Pokémon Go is available in the Play Store below, but we also have it on APK Mirror.

    SB Nation reviews: Mewtwo

Team Rocket aren't known for their insight. But halfway through Pokemon: The First Movie, the notoriously inept criminal gang are the ones who shed light on the story of the world's most powerful Pokémon. The trio of Jessy, James, and Meowth, sneak into Mewtwo's fortress, and after accidentally activating a video of Mewtwo's creation inside the building's replication center, Jessy says, "Oh, a real Pokenstein."

Mewtwo is a legendary Pokémon introduced in the first generation of the games. He's appeared in many different forms in the Pokémon universe, but his first major appearance, in Pokemon: The First Movie, is by far the most interesting. In what is ostensibly a children's movie of love and belonging, Mewtwo grapples with themes of creation, grace and belonging, situating itself clearly alongside Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein. But Mewtwo's story, while derivative, adds to Shelley's, moving beyond it in fascinating ways.

Both Mewtwo and Dr. Frankenstein's infamous Creature are science experiments whose rage is fueled by rejection. The world around them sees them as monsters. Dr. Frankenstein flees from his firstborn; The scientists that cloned Mewtwo, and Giovanni, the leader of team Rocket who funded the program, reduced him to an object to be used, rather than a sentient being to be respected and cared for. Both Mewtwo and the Creature are pained by unimaginable loneliness.

Just before the Creature disappears for the last time, he says: "But it is even so; the fallen angel becomes a malignant devil. Yet even that enemy of God and man had friends and associates in his desolation; I am alone." The Creature, abandoned and denied companionship by his own creator, and shunned by the human world, is condemned to isolation forever.

Mewtwo, after destroying Giovanni's lab when Giovanni claimed that the purpose of the Pokemon was simply to serve those who created him, stood over the rubble of the building and declared: "I was not born a Pokémon, I was created. And my creators have used and betrayed me. So, I stand alone."

By the nature of their birth and being, both Mewtwo and the Creature are utterly forsaken.

Shelly referred to the Creature in Frankenstein as "Adam", created and then shunned by his Maker. Mewtwo is not quite Adam. When Team Rocket watches the video of Mewtwo's creation, Mew, the Pokémon that Mewtwo is cloned from, floats placidly behind them.

Unlike Mewtwo, the Creature is an original. There is none like him. Frankenstein, coerced, agreed to make a bride for him, but then destroyed the second creature before completion, which exacerbated the Creature's loneliness and anger still further.

Mewtwo is a copy. The first thing he learns is that he is a clone of Mew. This knowledge, the fact that he is naught but 'Mew's shadow,' enrages him.

He learns at the moment of birth the lesson what the Creature learned at the edge of death: he is the desolate result of an experiment, and no more. At least the Creature has the consolation of being singular, where Mewtwo was made from DNA extracted from Mew's metaphorical rib.

Mewtwo is Eve to the creature's Adam. He doesn't fall from grace: he's "born" already outside the gates of Eden. Adam is brought to life by Frankenstein, while Mewtwo willed himself to awareness, his first thought being, "I am ready to be." And when his eyes opened, he spoke as if he was lost. He didn't ask "who am I?", but instead, where.

The rebuilt replication center is Mewtwo womb, allowing him to create life. Immediately after Team Rocket watched the video, a machine grabbed Meowth and plucked three of his hairs out. In a few seconds, it cloned the Pokemon and sent the clone Meowth into an incubation tube. The center had several Pokemon in such tubes already. There they slumbered, waiting for Mewtwo to awaken them with his psychic powers. He would will them to life, as he did for himself.

In Readings, the French poet and philosopher Hélène Cixous, writes that after the initial fall from grace, when the forbidden fruit has been consumed, "We can no longer be innocent innocents, since we belong to the world of the afterward ... We have left paradise or the space of the nonfault. We are now on the path between nonfault and the limit, rather than the effacement, of the fault."

That first innocence of the garden can never be regained. "But all hope is not lost. A second innocence is not necessarily impure. It can be found again if ... following the loss of a first innocence, we go around the earth to arrive at the other side. "

Mewtwo never went around the Earth. He never actually left the scene of his birth. He centers his story right outside the womb. He destroyed the lab which birthed him twice, once after his initial contact with the scientists who cloned him, and then after his time with Giovanni, only to rebuild it. Cast out of Eden, he constructed the walls anew. He hadn't found a suitable reason to move forward.

The first time Mewtwo asked about his true purpose, Giovanni didn't answer. He suggested instead that it would become clear in time. After Giovanni used Mewtwo to defeat Pokemon trainers for some time, Mewtwo returned to the question. What is my purpose? Giovanni responded by saying that Mewtwo was made to be a slave. He was created to serve his master.

Then Mewtwo said, "This cannot be." He might have been created as an experiment and expected to serve, but the brute fact of creation cannot trespass within the vaults of one's soul. Mewtwo knew innately that as a living thing, a sentient being, servitude could not possibly be his purpose of existence. Freedom was his natural right. And with that freedom came also the obligation to revolt against anyone who threatened to deny it.

Mewtwo then built his fortress, sent a message to Pokemon trainers around the world, and invited them to travel to his island to face the best Pokemon master. When he showed himself to the trainers, he said he was the strongest Pokemon in the world and explained his plan to rule it. Both ambitions were patched together from his birth and early days. Mewtwo was a child trying on the cruel skin of his parents.

In order for Mewtwo to leave his desolation, for him to begin that journey to the other side of paradise, he needed to know there was a possibility for a renewal of innocence.

The events that would open up that chance needed to be as jarring as his initial fall from grace. It had to reflect and describe the same force that closed him off to begin with. Three encounters pry open his heart and show him the path to salvation. The first was with Ash Ketchum's Pikachu. After the trainers arrived in his fortress, he introduced himself and detailed that his plan was to take over the world. He denounced humans as cruel and their Pokémon as slaves for following them. Pikachu rebutted that he was wrong about the relationship between Pokémon and humans and that Ash was a friend, not a master.

Mewtwo called Pikachu pathetic, but his contempt arose from painful memory. Pikachu's friendship with Ash, that equality and love, was what Mewtwo had sought in Giovanni. It was through that weakness he was first exploited.

Pikachu is what Mewtwo had hoped to become before his experiences closed him off to the possibility of such a relationship. When he called Pikachu pathetic, he was also condemning his younger self's naiveté, in the same way that Frankenstein's Creature looked back in pity and anger at how he had once "falsely hoped to meet with beings who, pardoning my outward form, would love me for the excellent qualities which I was capable of unfolding." But unlike the Creature, there was still a chance for Mewtwo, who hadn't truly begun his journey.

The first event shook Mewtwo, but not forcefully enough. Nor did the second, his encounter with Mew. When Mew appeared, it had no intention of fighting Mewtwo, and casually ignored its clone. Mewtwo wasn't a threat. But for Mewtwo, Mew's existence was a reminder of his own contemptible nature. Mew was singular. It had the consolation of possessing a life that wasn't merely the dim, somber reflection of another's light. But Mewtwo, the Eve, didn't have that solace. In his pain he reasoned that by killing Mew, by surpassing his original, he would be free from being a mere shadow.

After Mewtwo challenged Mew to fight, Mew told him that true power comes only from the heart, not special powers. But the nature of the messenger annihilated the message. Mewtwo would not be moved by that which he hated so much. Of course Mew had the privilege to spew such sentimental li(n)es: it never had to question the worth of its existence in the same way that Mewtwo did. What did Adam know about the griefs of Eve?

Mewtwo rebuked Mew's sentiment and the two began to fight. Mewtwo's clone Pokemon also fought their originals. As this fight was happening, Ash was climbing down the fortress. He had been launched into the air by Mewtwo after declaring he wouldn't let Mewtwo set the Pokemon and their clones against each other. He wanted all of them to live peacefully together. He made it back to the ground at the same time that Mewtwo and Mew were about to launch their strongest attacks against each other.

Ash ran between them and screamed for them to stop. His words didn't stop them. Instead, he was hit by both attacks, which turned him to stone, essentially killing him. Mewtwo was shocked. He softly called Ash's action foolish, not in condemnation but in surprise that someone would make such a sacrifice. At last, Mewtwo was moved.

Ash was the anti-Giovanni. He was a symbol of innocence, grace, and selfless love. Where Giovanni was manipulative, domineering, and selfish, Ash was so driven by his own selflessness that he put his own life on the line to put an end to the violence. It was only such a grand act of sacrifice, by someone who represented the innocence that Mewtwo had almost given up on, which could shake him out of his despair and pain.

Ash's death was moving not just Mewtwo but for all the Pokemon in the fortress. Pikachu grieved for him and the others, clones and originals, joined in crying. Their tears and combined sorrow brought him back to life. Mewtwo, finally seeing Cixous's bright path, gathered up his clone Pokémon and readied to leave the scene of birth. Ash asked him where he was going, and as he flew away, he responded: "To where my heart can learn what yours knows so well." His journey towards his second innocence may not bear fruit, but the important thing is that it was underway. Unlike Frankenstein's Creature, his story didn't end. His conclusion was instead a new beginning.

    He was reborn.

10 DC Villains (& Who Their Pokémon Partners Would Be)

The many villains of the DC Universe come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. From Catwoman to Darkseid, all kinds of different individuals are represented in the DC comic books. These many unique villains have diverse interests and would make drastically different decisions if offered the same sorts of choices.

    Related: 5 Reasons Darkseid Is DC's Numer One Supervillain (& 5 Why It's Anti-Monitor)

One of the best aspects of comic books and fictional worlds is seeing them crossover into other properties. Although DC comics and the world of Pokémon have yet to collide, it is fun to postulate about what that amalgamation might look like. Here are ten DC villains and who their Pokémon partners would be.

    10 Catwoman - Espeon

There are many cat Pokémon that Catwoman can choose from. Out of all of them, there is one creature in particular that perfectly captures all of the vital aspects of Catwoman's character. That Pokémon would be, of course, Espeon.

Although it is known as the sun Pokémon, Espeon has a mysterious aura and personality that gives it an interesting mystique. Catwoman is much the same way, while sometimes a criminal, there is a mysterious edge to her that keeps readers and heroes guessing.

    9 Ocean Master - Gyrados

The brother of the king of Atlantis, Ocean Master has long vied for the right to the throne. His brother, the Justice Leaguer and superhero Aquaman, has been able to keep Ocean Master from taking over. This is no easy task considering Ocean Master's powers that reflect his namesake.

If he were to have a Pokémon, that monster would need to be one of the biggest, most menacing creatures to ever appear in the series. It would also need to be a water-type, for obvious reasons. The one pocket monster that fits all of those requirements perfectly is none other than Gyrados.

    8 Joker - Gengar

The Joker's sadistic smile is one of the scariest sites in the entire DC Multiverse. As soon as someone sees it up close and in person, they instantly become aware that their very mortality is at imminent risk.

Related: DC: 10 Best Joker Voice Actors, Ranked

There is one Pokémon that has a very similar smile to the Joker's. That Pokémon would be the ghost-type Gengar. Gengar takes after Joker not just with his smile, but also with its purple color and overall creep factor. That is why Joker would choose Gengar over all of the others available in the wild.

    7 Deathstroke - Scizor

There are very few hand-to-hand combatants that are as masterfully skilled as Deathstroke the Terminator. He can take on anyone in the entire DC Universe and has even gone toe-to-toe with the Batman on several occasions.

Scizor is a perfect match for the DC assassin. Just look at this entry's picture – even their poses are the same. Facing off with either in close quarters combat would not end well for most combatants.

    6 Harley Quinn - Mimikyu

Harley Quinn is sort of a cracked mirror version of her former lover and partner in crime, the Joker. While at one time she was Joker's loyal partner and girlfriend, now Harley Quinn runs amock as a sort of anti-hero in the DC Universe.

Related: Bye Harley Quinn: 10 Ways Joker's New Girlfriend, Punchline, Is The Complete Opposite

Just like Harley Quinn is to the Joker, the most popular supervillain of all time, Mimikyu is a cracked mirror version of Pikachu, the most popular Pokémon of all time. His odd, slightly cute yet slightly creepy appearance would be just the type of thing that Harley would fall in love with.

    5 Clayface - Muk

It is pretty easy to see why Clayface might be attracted to a Pokémon such as Muk. They both share very similar physiologies to one another. This choice in pocket monster wouldn't be made simply out of familiarity, however. It would be a tactical decision.

Given that their physiologies work in very similar ways, Clayface knows how to best direct Muk's abilities in order to do the greatest amount of damage. This makes Clayface the perfect trainer to take a middling Pokémon in terms of power like Muk and make him an absolute Poké-superstar.

    4 Reverse-Flash - Zeraora

As the Flash's greatest enemy, the Reverse-Flash has made it his mission in life to finally become faster than his adversary and then use that speed to utterly destroy him. If he were to choose a Pokémon to train, Reverse-Flash would certainly want to pick one that is nearly as fast as him.

Zeraora is by far one of the fastest Pokémon in all of existence. His speed is lightning quick and would garner even the Reverse-Flash's respect. Out of all the quick Pokémon, this is the one that the Flash villain would go for.

    3 Brainiac - Deoxys

The pairing of these two characters makes all the sense in the world. The planet conquesting alien supercomputer that is Brainiac would settle for nothing less than a legendary Pokémon as his companion. What Pokémon could possibly be a better fit than Deoxys? The answer is none.

RELATED: 10 Things Fans Forgot About Brainiac

Deoxys, much like Brainiac, arrived on Earth with unknown origins and a very impressive intellect. No other character suits the Superman villain better.

    2 Darkseid - Mewtwo

Darkseid settles for nothing less than total domination. As the leader and god of Apokalips, Darkseid has amassed a massive army in the hopes of eventually spreading his rule across the galaxy. When it comes to his underlings, he accepts nothing less than the absolute best.

That is why Darkseid would inevitably choose Mewtwo. Like Darkseid, Mewtwo is one of the most powerful beings in his respective universe. The two would make for an amazing pair.

    1 Anti-Monitor - Giratina

The Anti-Monitor comes from the Anti-Matter Universe. His sole purpose seems to be to consume the entire mainstream DC Universe and totally destroy it. Believe it or not, the Anit-Monitor actually has a Pokémon very similar in nature to himself.

Giratina is not only a legendary Pokémon but one of the strongest of all time. This makes his power level similar to Anti-Monitor's. More importantly, Giratina is the physical manifestation of antimatter in the Pokémon universe. There is not a closer pair to be found between a DC villain and a Pokémon creature.

Pokémon Go begins April Fool’s event with prankster Pokémon and Stunfisk

Niantic is kicking off the month with an April Fool’s event in Pokémon Go, featuring Pokémon that are masters of disguise, like Ditto, Foongus, and Sudowoodo (via Leek Duck).

In this Tricky Pokémon event, spawns of wild Gastly, Haunter, Voltorb, Sudowoodo, Aipom, Croagunk, and Foongus will appear. Ditto is now able to mimic Voltorb and Foongus, and Sudowoodo, Aipom, and Croagunk may be Shiny. Croagunk and Aipom will photobomb during the event, and as usual, there are event-themed Research tasks. Also, 5 km Eggs will hold Aipom, Wynaut, Bonsly, Croagunk, and, for the first time, Stunfisk.

The Trap Pokémon will be found as a Research reward, in 5 km Eggs, and there is even a very rare chance it will pop up in the wild. After the event ends, Stunfisk will no longer hatch from 5 km Eggs, so this is players’ only opportunity to catch one and add to their Poké Dex.

The event begins today and will end on April 7. Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS devices.

Stunfisk, the Trap Pokémon, will also be making its Pokémon GO debut here. For the duration of the event, Stunfisk will be available as Field Research task reward encounters and - if you're extremely lucky - you'll find it in the wild.

During the event, there are event-exclusive Field Research tasks to complete. Depending on which task you complete, you might receive a reward encounter with a Sudowoodo, Croagunk or Stunfisk.

The lovable copycat-blob Ditto will be appearing more frequently in the wild, so be sure to make the most of this event.

How long will it run for?

The event starts today, April 1 and runs until Tuesday, April 7.

What are the Field Research tasks?

The new event-specific tasks can only be found during this time period, but you can still claim the reward if you forget to hand them in after the event ends on April 7.

New Tricky Pokémon Field Research tasks:

  • Earn 3 Candy while walking your Buddy Pokémon - Stunkfis encounter
  • Catch 3 Ditto - Croagunk encounter
  • Feed your Buddy a Berry - Sudowoodo encounter
  • What are the rewards?

As above, the rewards for completing the Field Research tasks are Pokémon encounters, with increased chances of finding a shiny variation of Croagunk and Sudowoodo.

    How to catch Stunfisk

Thankfully, Stunfisk, Croagunk and Sudowoodo are the rewards for completing specific tasks, making catching them relatively simple.

Just encounter them and do your best to make that perfect PokéBall throw.

Nice and simple tasks to complete here, and thanks to Pokémon GO adapting perfectly to the current lockdown in place across many different countries, you can easily finish these tasks staying inside from the comfort of home.

Like the previously list, Pokémon: 10 Pieces of Fire Pokémon Fan Art We Love, this list features one of the three starter types of Pokémon, grass. Arguably the hardest type to start with, grass Pokémon have the weakest stats. When combined with the poison type, they become the type with the most weaknesses. But there are definitely pros to using these hard to master types, which Screen Rant lists in detail via 15 Reasons Why Grass-Type Pokemon Are The Best Starters.

As of Generation VIII, there are 117 different grass Pokémon, an even greater number than fire types! So check out Pokémon: 10 Pieces of Grass Pokémon Fan Art We Love below and be sure to click on the links to the artists' portfolios so you can give the creators the support they deserve!

The clever four-pronged leaves divide the Pokémon into sections, further divided by Tangrowth's long arms. Plus a bunch of Pokémon, notably all starters and their evolved forms, are chilling on top of a Trevenant. It shows a lot of forethought by the artist with how meticulous every detail is in this print and results in a piece of fan art that's really fun to look at.

    9 Frenzy Plant (2016)

Created by kimardt, this huge collage of grass Pokémon is titled "Frenzy Plant (2016)". The creator also includes in the description a link to the original group picture that was created back in 2011, showing how their art has improved over the past five years. The fan art, created before Pokémon Sun and Moon (2016) came out, does not include any Pokémon Generation VI onwards besides the at the time newly announced Rowlett.

The artist manages to include every single grass starter and their evolutions from Generation I to V in here, along with fan-favorite Pokémon such as the legendary Celebi and super small versions of Bellossom, Paras, and more! The "and more" would take about an hour to list, so enjoy this Where's Waldo-esque Pokémon fan art. Can you find the Burmy?

    8 Grookey

A bunch of Grookey fan art has been popping up since the Pokémon was unveiled as the grass starter for Generation VIII (Pokémon Sword and Shield). Posted on DeviantArt by Suesanne, this adorable Grookey fan art shows cherry blossoms falling above a smiling starter holding an apple. The background compliments this grass monkey Pokémon, not taking away our main focus on Grookey but instead adding to its adorableness with subtle touches of shadows. Plus the artist does a great job showing how happy Grookey looks, from his cute bulging eyes to his wide-open grin.

    7 Grass Sanctuary

Posted on DeviantArt by michellescribbles and available for purchase on Etsy, this "Grass Sanctuary" piece is one part of a three-part "Sanctuary" series featuring grass, water, and fire sanctuaries. The level of detail accomplished here with what looks like deceptively simple linework is astounding. Venusaur's back is lush with flowery life and looks even better surrounded by Ivysaurs and Bulbasaurs, each one with a slightly different design.

You'll notice more in the picture the longer you look at it. From the Metapods hanging around on the left to the Parasects chilling among the mushrooms, this scenic view puts a nice little spin on the traditional Pokémon style.

    6 Fakeathon Day 1 - Rowlet Evolution

When Pokémon Sun and Moon starters were unveiled, DeviantArt creator SirAquakip had the fun idea to design his own versions of grass starter Rowlet's evolutions before they were revealed. Working off of the idea that the starter trio would be based on Circus tropes, the artist shows Rowlet's evolution into a ringmaster combined with some archer themes! As the comments on the piece suggest, his concept for "Barnumowl" is arguably more interesting to look at then Rowlett's actual final form, Decidueye! When you can design Pokémon arguably better than the actual creators, you deserve to be on this list!

    5 Grass Buds

These eight "Grass Buds" were turned into buttons by DeviantArt creator RileyKitty. Each button features one of eight grass starters from Pokémon in their "natural" environment, going about their daily grind.

The top row from left to right includes the Generation I starter Bulbasaur picking daisies with his vines, the Generation II starter Chikorita frolicking in a field full of flowers, the Generation III starter Treecko hanging from a tree branch, and the Generation IV starter Turtwig nibbling on a leaf. The second row from left to right includes the Generation V starter Snivy resting on a cherry blossom branch, the Generation VI starter Chespin cautiously walking the plank via a tree branch, the Generation VII starter Rowlet flapping his wings in the sun, and the Generation VIII starter Grookey swinging off of a tree!

    4 'Pokemon Zoology' Paras

This piece is part of JoshuaDunlop's 'Pokemon Zoology' project, in which the creator translates the first 151 Pokémon into realistic-looking creatures by way of CG 3D sculpting, digital, and matte painting. He even provides timelapse footage on Youtube so fans can watch as he creates each Pokémon. It feels like stepping right into the Detective Pikachu (2016) movie! It was hard to pick just one of his creations to spotlight, but in the end, let's take a look at Paras. He looks so real, thanks to his crab-like body and his eyes, which are reminiscent of some deep-sea creatures. The level of detail on everything, from the hairs on the skin to the material on the mushrooms, makes this a stellar realistic Pokémon project.

    3 Grass Leaf

"Grass Leaf" is an adorable chibization featuring a variety of grass-type Pokémon by pikaole on DevianArt. Our cute little line-up here includes Pokémon from seven generations!

Starting on the top row and going from left to right is the mythic Celebi giving us a cheeky wink, Petilil, Bbounsweet, the Generation II starter Chikorita, the Generation VI starter Chespin, Fomantis, Budew, Whimsicott, the Generation IV starter Turtwig, Cerubi, Bellsprout, Oddish, Swadloon, Hoppip and we end with the classic Generation I starter Bulbasaur! These Pokémon are all smiles too, except for Petilil, who somehow looks even cuter with no mouth and rosy cheeks!

    2 Decidueye To The Rescue!

Created shortly after Rowlet's final evolution, Decidueye, was announced, this fan art was created by DeviantArt user Blunell. This piece shows a determined-looking Decidueye protecting two teary-eyed Rowlets with a trusty bow and arrow. The emotions on all of their faces really set the tone of the piece, especially Decidueye's piercing eyes! The level of detail included in the wings alone, where you can see each individual feather, is impressive. Plus it has the perfect forest setting for such a dramatic scene! The blur at the tops of the trees and over the sky adds something to the piece as well.

    1 Those Strange Creatures.

Ending on a different note, we have a sculpture of Venasaur created by KinokoKoneko on DeviantArt. The piece was made with super sculpey and sculpey firm, then painted with acrylics. The creator talked about how they went for a more beast-like approach to Venasaur, making it stand out from the typical frog-look the Pokémon is usually given. KinokoKoneko also wanted to give it a Totoro-esque feel, which this sculpture definitely nails. The smile also makes it look like this Pokémon is happy to see you! The techniques used to sculpt the piece were pulled from the book Creature Sculpt by verdantSculpts.
