Pokémon trainers are in for a world of problems as the man who trained you, Professor Oak, becomes an opponent in Pokémon Masters. To be more specific, he is now a new trainer for players to pick up, as he is accompanied by Mew as his main creature to battle with. To get him you need to complete the tutorial before 11:59pm PDT on March 15th. DeNA has also added a steel battle for you to deal with in Steven & Metagross. Check out the video and info below to see more about the latest update to Pokémon Masters on iOS and Android.

Accompanied by Mew, these characters will be distributed to all new and old players that log into the game and complete the tutorial before March 15.
New Sync Pairs: The Steel-type sync pair Steven & Metagross is also now recruitable. Players can learn more about Steven, the champion of the Hoenn region, in the in-game story event titled "The Strongest There Is," available to play now until March 15. Steven will also be available to obtain in the "Steven Spotlight Poké Fair Scout." A unique feature of this sync pair, shared only by a few others such as Korrina & Lucario, Blue & Pidgeot, and Agatha & Gengar, is that Metagross transforms into its Mega Metagross form after executing a sync move.
Six Month Special Bonus: To celebrate these exciting new updates and six months since the game's launch, players that log in each day from now until February 27 will receive up to 3,000 free Gems. The in-game Pokémon Center will also have new decorations and background music.
